A Couple of Pictures for Chopper Dave

Chopper Dave is this guy down in Long Beach, CA who builds neat choppers and casts parts out of aluminum for other bike guys to buy and use on their bikes. Having grown up working at a couple of small airports, I've always been fascinated with old racing planes and took these pictures for Dave when I was at Boeing's museum of flight recently, as I know he's into radial motors too.

The plane is a Gee Bee Sportster and if you delete all but two of its radial cylinders you'll notice that what you're left with resembles a Harley V-twin motor. Everyone affectionately refers to Harley mills as "tractor motors" but they have much more in common with these.
