The "Corncob"

Cut away of one of the heads and 28 Cylinders on a Pratt & Whitney R4360 Wasp Major, also known by the pilots and mechanics of WWII Corsairs as the "Corncob." When the motor was out of the plane the cylinders surrounded the entire block and the whole mess looked like a cob of corn. The engine was so powerful that the massive amount of torque it produced could ground-flop Corsairs on their tops if the pilot applied too much throttle on take-off. Gnarly.
