Whats not to like? Hydros use to be very cool. Huge rolls royce motors, tons of noise, and huge rooster tails were the stuff 9 year old boys loved.
Muncey was the KING. His boat was always fast but nover really the fastest. In 1979 he was certainly not the fast boat. In the final he was losing and needed to do something dramatic.
He swung way to wide and the a anouncer was going wild. Somehow he pulled it off and won the cup. He was the KING.
My mom dated his son in high school. Hydros suck now.
