During a deployment in the Indian Ocean we did some training with the Japanese Navy's special boarding units. They were great guys, we drank too much beer, ate too much freshly caught tuna, sang bad karoke. I hated to see them go.
I do think it's ironic that while the growing trend in the US is cobbled together piece of crap japanese bikes in attempt to obtain a backslap from one of their bros... The japanese are cultivating a culture of not only building glorious american machines, but also riding the piss out of said machines.
